Do not forget that traffic on the interstate has the right of way. You cannot always count on other drivers seeing you or moving over to give you room to enter.

#2. Which is true about driving at a slow speed?
Going slower than traffic or stopping suddenly is as dangerous as speeding. The risk of rear-end collisions is added to the risk of vehicles passing you.
No person shall drive a motor vehicle at such a slow speed as to impede the normal and reasonable movement of traffic except when reduced speed is necessary for safe operation or in compliance with law.

#3. The best cure for carbon monoxide poisoning is:
Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless, and poisonous gas. Signs of carbon monoxide poisoning are weariness, yawning, dizziness, nausea, headache, and ringing in the ears. If you feel any of these symptoms, stop your engine and open the windows to get fresh air.
Have the exhaust system checked regularly to be sure it does not leak. Avoid parking for long periods of time with the engine running. Do not start your vehicle, or warm up the engine, in a closed garage.

Traffic in the roundabout must be given the right-of-way.

#6. If your vehicle breaks down on a highway, you should always:
If your vehicle does not work properly and you must stop, you should stop with all four wheels on the shoulder. Turn on your emergency four-way flashers. Do not walk for help if you are on the interstate.

#9. You are approaching a work zone on an interstate. What should you do?
Slow down, stay patient, maintain a safe following distance, and stay alert while driving through work zones. Extra care should be maintained through construction work zones even though there is no apparent work activity in the immediate vicinity.

#10. On cold, wet days, which of the following roadways is most likely to hide spots of ice?
Watch for ice on bridges, overpasses, and shaded areas, where it can remain, even after the sun comes out. These areas also tend to freeze before the rest of the road does.

#11. In general, 1.5 ounces of 86 proof liquor (one shot) contains the same amount of alcohol as:
Beer usually contains about 5 percent alcohol, wines 12 or 20 percent, and hard liquors about 40 to 50 percent. Therefore, 12 ounces of beer, three to five ounces of wine, and one and one-half ounces of 86 proof hard liquor each have about one-half ounce of alcohol.

Maintain a safe following distance at all times. If another driver needs to suddenly change lanes, slow down and let them merge.

#17. What should you do when approaching a railroad crossing?
As you approach any railroad crossing, slow down, look, listen, and be prepared to stop. Do not assume that a train is not coming even if you have never seen one at that crossing before. That is one of the leading causes of fatalities at railroad crossings.

#18. If you stay in a trucker's blind spots, you:
Be sure to pass with sufficient speed to avoid loitering in the truck driver’s blind spot and simply taking too long to pass. The passenger vehicle’s position while passing makes it impossible for the truck driver to take evasive action if an obstacle appears in the road ahead.
When your car loiters in the truck’s blind spot, perhaps because your set cruise-control speed is only slightly faster than the truck’s, or when you are passing on the right, the driver cannot take evasive action without striking your car – which he cannot see.

#21. What does this sign mean?
Your lane is splitting off into two separate directions. You can turn left or go straight through.
Lane use control signs tell you where you can go, where you can turn and often use an arrow symbol. These signs can be located on the side of the road or hanging over the lane of travel. Sometimes arrows may be painted on the road as a supplement to the signs.

Get the Wyoming Driver’s License Manual
Start studying by getting the Driver’s License Manual. It is a must-read. You can find answers to all your exam questions in this manual.
You can get a copy from your local DMV office or download a PDF version online .
The information in the manual help you pass the examination. It also helps you to be a safe driver once you get your license.
Taking Practice Tests
The passing score in Wyoming is only 76 percent, which means you must answer at least 19 of 25 questions correctly.
You should, however, aim higher on the practice tests. Try to reach a 100% score on a handful of tests.
Instead of memorizing questions and answers, it is best to fully understand why one answer is correct, and another isn’t. It will make it easier to pass the exam. You will also retain the knowledge longer.

Who Must Take the Wyoming Knowledge Test?
When you apply for your first driver’s license, you must pass a written knowledge test.
You must also pass the knowledge test again if you let your license expire and have not driven for two years or more.
DMV can also ask you to retake all tests after a license revocation.
Based upon personal observation, medical or vision information, and other factors, a DMV representative always has the discretion to ask for a knowledge test.
Official Wyoming Knowledge Test
The knowledge test has questions related to the class of license you are applying for. You can find all answers to the exam questions in the applicable driver’s manual.
On the test, you must identify traffic signs by shape, color, or symbol and identify signals and pavement markings. The test also has questions about seat belt usage, traffic laws, safety rules, crash prevention, and vehicle equipment.
You take your test on a computerized system. Applicants with reading difficulties can ask for a headset and hear the questions through a phone system. If you prefer to use the audio system, you must ask the examiner to connect you to the system before you begin your written test.
If you fail your first attempt, again the same day. You can take the test twice daily.
This does not apply if you miss 13 or more questions. In such a case, you must wait at least three days to retake the test.
Languages
Wyoming tests are only in English. You may use an interpreter for the written tests if you cannot speak English.
