Indiana Permit Test No. 1 - Passing score: 84%
The passing score in Indiana is 84 percent. It means you should answer at least 42 out of 50 questions correctly to pass both this practice test and the real BMV test.
The safest tactic, however, is to aim for a full score on each BMV practice test.
Take as many tests as you need to feel comfortable with all answers. Learn by your mistakes. If needed, use the BMV Driver Manual and read up on the facts.
The more practice tests you take, the more you cover of the Indiana Driver Manual and the easier the real test will be.
What You Should Know about the Indiana Practice Tests
The Official Indiana BMV knowledge test pulls questions from a large database. Questions and answers are from the Indiana Driver's Manual.
The purpose of the exam is to make sure you have a good understanding of Indiana traffic laws and safe driving practices. You must also be able to read and understand highway signs, traffic signals, and pavement markings.
When you start practicing with thesse test questions, it is a good idea to have the Driver's Manual handy. If you get a question wrong, look up the information in the Manual. It will speed up your learning. Discuss answers with a friend or a family member. The more active you are, the better the information will stick!
Always aim for a full score on each practice test!
