January marks the beginning of a new year and a time for renewal and change. Many of us start out this month by moving forward with new goals and strategies for achieving them.
Weight loss is one of the top New Year’s resolutions people make over and over. I mean, who doesn’t want to live healthier by better diets and some regular fitness routines? Unfortunately, we often forget about the new routines pretty quickly. Instead of losing a few pounds, we finish the year with a few additional pounds.
The hard part is actually sticking to it and making real changes!
Clean up and control you finances is another common New Year’s resolution. Changing bad credit habits in the New Year and write a good plan for getting out of debt should perhaps be on everybody’s agenda.
It is the same thing with driving.
Every time you get behind the wheel you should pledge to be a better driver. Take two seconds to think about how unacceptable driving behavior can affect your life and others.
Avoid distractions like talking on your cell phone. The call can wait. If you must use your phone, pull over.
Avoid aggressive driving, like tailgating, weaving in and out of traffic, passing on the right or the shoulder, cutting people off, honking, and flashing your headlights.
Always allow yourself extra time on the road. Many car accidents occur because at least one of the drivers involved was in a hurry. When someone is running behind schedule, they’re much more likely to speed or be careless on the road.
Be a safe driver.
